There are many occasions where clients come to us and what they require needs fibre optic cables of a substantial length, more so than what is traditionally manufactured (most companies only manufacture fibre optic cables of a maximum of 5km), so we are able to carry out Fibre Optic Splicing in order to obtain the required length.

Fibre Optic Splicing is desirable as, unlike using optical fibre connectors, a spliced cable has a permanent connection between the two connectors, that cannot be disconnected or reconnected. When the cable has been spliced and tested successfully, it has less chance of failure than a connected cable.

We can offer two types of Splicing Techniques:

Fusion Splices
